James C. Cash, 52, of Springfield died Monday at St. John Hospital.

He was born Aug. 26, 1943, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Ray S. and Margaret Smith Cash.  He married Susan D. Shine in 1979.

Mr. Cash, a lifelong resident of Springfield, was employed by Jim Houser, Inc.

He was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors:  wife, Susan D. Cash; three daughters, Tammy Cole, Debbie Lamm and Jennifer Cash, all of Springfield; a son, Jim Cash of Springfield; two granddaughters; father Ray S. Cash of Springfield; three half sisters, Leah Reynolds of Gifford, Pam Spivey of Rantoul and Sharon Frost of Bloomington; two half-brothers; Roger and Tom Nalley, both of Bloomington; two uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service:  Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Clint Cook officiating.  Burial:  Oak Ridge Cemetery.
