Jon and I had our lockers next to each other all three years at Lanphier.  After graduation, Jon joined the Air Force and I joined the Navy.

I remember during our junior year on the football team we both thought we would be future NFL running backs but "PE" (Phis Ed Ransford) told us both to buy high top football shoes because we were going to be spending our time on the line.  He told us the line is where the "real football was played"  We both knew that was a bunch of BS.  Do you ever remember reading in the paper about the number of times a lineman has been knocked on his can?

I can't remember ever having a disagreement with Jon.  He was a great classmate at Lanphier.
