I ran around with Mary Jo for a year or so and during that time she and I went to Chicago to visit with her step/half brother.  He owned an antique shop on Clark Street and while in his apartment in the back we heard this loud, funny laugh and he took us to meet the then, not famous yet,  Phyllis Diller.  She was a hoot and had us laughing every minute.  That night he took us to the Pump Room at the Ambassador East Hotel, which in those days was very posh and all the movie stars hung out there while in Chicago.  We sat at the bar for awhile as her step/half brother knew the bartender quite well and I just remember drinking a couple of Stingers and got very sick.  We thought we were so grown up.  Mary Jo was a lot of fun.  Glad I got to know her back then.
