Springfield - Kenneth M. Stringer Jr., 52, of Springield, formerly of Carlinville, died Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at St. John's Hospice.

He was born June 23, 1943, in Taylorville, the son of Kenneth and Mary Williams Stringer Sr.

Mr. Stringer had been a resident of Springfield for most of his life.  He was employed as a lineman for MJM Electric Cooperative and peer counselor at Memorial Medical Center Burn Unit.  He was a member of the Missouri White Water Association.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors:  three sons, Douglas Harvey of Thayer, Christopher W. Stringer of Indiana and Dr. Matthew Stringer of Gillespie; a daughter, Barbara K. Burcham of Farmersville, three grandsons, his mother, Mary E. Stringer of Springfield, a brother, Thomas F. Stringer of Springfield; a sister, Ruth A. Stringer of Springfield, and serveral nieces and nephews.
