I have a small memory of Bob that I think shows his character.  At the time of our Ridgely 8th-grade graduation party in Lincoln Park pavilion, I looked a lot like Popeye's girlfriend Olive Oyl.  I was having a miserable, wallflowerly time when Bob asked me to dance.  I don't remember the conversation, but he reduced me to tears of laughter pretty much throughout.  I absolutely believe he saw discomfort and did what he could to relieve it.  He was a very kind (and hilarious!) guy.  I'm so sorry for your loss.
