Yvonne G. Knepp, 45, of Barrington, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday May 5, 1989 at Rush-Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Marvel and Dorothy Culp.
Surviving are her husband, Donald L.; two children, Matthew A., and Sarah E., both of Barrington; two sisters. Mary Daugherty of Springfield and Kathleen Rude of Chicago; and mother, Mrs Dorothy Culp of Springfield.
Services will be at 11a.m. Saturday at Barrington United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Stirlen-Pieper Funeral Home, Barrington, is in charge of arreangements.

Yvonne and I went to kindergarten through 6th grade together at Ridgely and she was my best friend until I moved, but we met up again at Lanphier and was good friends again until she died May 2,1989 of breast cancer. I lost contact with her after we graduated from high school, I got married and she went on to college, we reconnected again after our 25th class reunion, but we didn't get much time as she died about 3 years later. I have always cherished the short time we did have and I got to meet her 2 children and her husband. I miss her very much!!! Sharon {Herndon} Hill
