Paula L. Miller (Perko)

Springfield - Paula L. Perko, 59, of Springfield died Thursday, June 13, 2003, at St. John's Hospice.

She was born Aug. 15, 1943, in Springfield, the daughter of Paul and Daisy Applegate Miller.

She worked at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for 5 years as a clerk, SIU School of Medicine for 10 years, where she was active in the recycling program, Illinois National Bank and North American Van Lines.

She was of the Methodist faith.  She was an usher at Sangamon State Auditorium and past president of the PTA for Tri-City schools.

Survivors:  two daughters, Martha (husband, Tony) Wasinger of Winona, Minn., and Jodi Perko of Springfield; two sons, David Perko of Weston, Fla., and Larry Jr. (wife, Susan) Perko of Chatham; seven grandchilren; mother Daisy Dawson of Pleasant Plains; five sister, Martha (husband, Larry) Ketchum of Rochester, Joyce (husband, Rutherford) Rhodes and Mary (husband, Dan) Deathridge, both of Springfield, and Virginia (husband, Bill ) Cody and Gladys Koonce, both of Pleasant Plains; a brother, Dick (wife, Carolyn) Miller of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, Chatham, the Rev. Rusty Rhodes officiating.  Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
