Kim Albarene Thompson born April 5, 1943 in Pontiac, IL passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. At her request, there will be no services held.

Married to Ron Thompson(survives) for 63 years. She retired from Illinois State University in 2007.

Kim enjoyed visiting with her 5 grand-children, 9 great-grand children and hoped to have more time to see her new great-great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, working with her plants, and playing with our dog, Tippy.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Thompson, daughter, Paige Williams(husband Todd), grand-children; Sara Kiper(husband Andrew), Chris Staley(wife Tabitha), and their families, Ben and Kaela Williams, and Amanda Staley and her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Bernice Willhoite, brother, Clark, sister, Karen Newhouse, and her eldest daughter, April Lucas.
