Springfield - William Eugene Adams, 61, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born June 26, 1943, in Springfield.

Mr. Adams graduated from Lanphier High School and Western Illinois University with bachelors degrees in psychology and mathematics.  He taught high school in central Florida, owned Light Speed Productions, an independent film production company in central Florida, and was the author of "Light Speed and Beyond."  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  He received citations for exceptionally meritorious service and battle efficiency awards.

Survivors: sister, Mary Beth Jensen of Springfield; two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
